Everyone told us 2013 was going to be a big year for us. They said it would change our marriage, our relationships, our lives. We believed them, and yet we had no idea.
2013 was the year we became parents.
Our sweet little Judah James was born on July 26th. Yes he changed our marriage, our relationships, and our lives, but he also changed our hearts. We have never loved anyone else quite like we love him. The day he was born all I kept saying was, "I can't believe we get to keep him." It is slightly daunting to look at the responsibility that lies before us; to consistently teach and train him in the ways of the Lord. And yet we have never been more excited to give everything we have for someone else's good.
Kinda reminds us of someone else...
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9)
Thank you Lord for giving us a gift that helps us to more fully understand the love you have for us.
